New Features
Document management - locking
While we promote using wiki pages to collaborate, we recognize that attachments (docs, video, etc.) are a necessity. We have made BrainKeeper more than just a repository for attachments: you can now lock a file for editing, so that no new versions can be uploaded until you are done. This is a new option under the 'Edit' feature for all attachments in your BrainKeeper wiki.
Real-time, mobile-enabled question emails
When a question is asked through a Forum, an email alert now goes out immediately so that you can get the best possible answer in just minutes. This email integration works with any email-enabled mobile device, as well as your Outlook or other email application.
Feature Highlight: Linking Content
Our linking feature is a great example of a feature that is easy to use, powerful, and flexible. This feature is available when editing any wiki page and clicking this button in the editor:
Nearly automatic linking within your wiki
When you highlight the words that you want to link to a wiki page, blog post, etc.- you just have to click the link button and BrainKeeper will automatically do a search to find the content that you want to link to. Do additional searches, or browse your wiki to find what you need- either way, it is very easy to link related information.
Link to other web pages
On 'Web Link' tab, you can simply enter the URL of any web page, and your linked text will display that web page when it is clicked.
Create a new wiki page
On the 'Create New Page' tab, you can create a new wiki page and a link to it at the same time. This is a great way to build out a new Workspace or quickly add additional details about the page you are editing.
